Driving directions
To Dole Street:
- From highway H1, take the University exit. Regardless of your
direction, the exit will put you in in the correct direction on
University Ave. Stay in the right hand
lane.
- From downtown, find your way to University Ave (it intersects with
Kapiolani and King), and go towards the mountains. After you pass under
the H1 highway get into the right hand lane.
From Dole Street to the parking structure:
- Make a right onto Dole Street from University Ave. (first light after exiting H1 or going
under H1). The rightmost lane will take you into the parking structure. Parking costs $3 for visitors.
To the POST Building:
- If in the parking structure, take the elevators or stairs to the top,
then walk towards the mountains and cross Dole Street. Now turn right and walk along Dole Street until you see an 8 story building with turquoise windows and
coral masonry to your left. This is the POST building, it is located behind the Engineering Building (which has a tubular orange sculpture on its front lawn). You can cut across the lawn
to go to it directly, or if you miss it follow the directions in the
next paragraph.
- To drive directly to the building, continue along Dole Street
instead of going into the parking structure, then make a left on East
West Road. Next, make the next left into the parking lot for POST. Except for
some evening times when an attendant is present to take your money, you
will need a permit to park in that lot.
