Johnson is co-PI on REIS Project, winner of $1M UH Sustainability CompetitionREIS stands for Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability Philip Johnson is a co-PI on the Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability project, which was recently awarded a $1M grant by the University of Hawaii. REIS brings together a multidisciplinary team of UH Mânoa faculty—from the Colleges of Engineering, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences, and the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology—to conduct cutting edge research and work on education problems in renewable energy and island sustainability.
