Where are they now: Joe Dane
First in a series of "letters home" from CSDL alumni to let us know what they're up to these days. This one is from Joe Dane.
Joe is currently working on the implementation of a metadata catalog for NOAA Fisheries. The metadata field being largely taken over by XML, the project has lots of XSLT and contains a minimal implementation of an XProc XML pipeline engine. He also does some python work for NOAA involving the munging of data collected on buoys and by divers. His two beautiful kids, Samantha (3) and Noah (5) are well and usually happy. Also, he's in his final year of law school.
