In 2008 and 2009, the Hackystat Project was selected as a participant in Google Summer of Code. This enabled a total of nine students to work on the Hackystat Project during the summer and gain experience with the development of an open source project. Not only that, they were each paid $4,000 by Google and received a cool t-shirt at the end of the summer!
The Google Summer of Code project provides students with excellent software development experience as well as a unique addition to their professional resume.
We hope that CSDL research projects will continue to be selected for participation in future years. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Philip Johnson.
