Electronic Currency Readings and Assignment

Your answers must be emailed to me by 3pm on Friday to receive credit.
Please put
"Electronic Currency Homework" in the subject line. Each of the three
questions is followed by some helpful references.

1. General Question: Consider what (in your opinion) is preventing the
revolution in currency models from occurring? Why is the dominant internet
transaction model the same (credit-card clearing) as in the face-to-face
commerce world?

2. The average cost of an article in Northern Light's "Special
Collection" is one dollar.

a. What is their billing policy?
b. Why do you think Northern Light set-up their billing policy in that
fashion?

3. The electronic wallet is intended to make internet shopping easier. List
an advantage and disadvantage for both the consumer and the merchant using
an electronic wallet:

Business Cycle Round 0 New Deadline

As Mette stated in her previous email, the new deadline for getting your
sites online is Wednesday. Two companies are getting extra credit for
having them done now. Companies that get them online by Wednesday evening
will get full credit. Companies that miss this extended deadline will get
little to no credit for this round.

I suggest you take full advantage of Mette. She is available via email
tomorrow, and has office hours on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6pm.

Cheers,
Philip
