Re: tip for search engine

Sorry I didn't have time to finish one important tip in last Friday's
presentation:
Create expression syntax appropriate to the search engine you are using.
Different search engines may use different syntax. For example, in the case
of AltaVista, the following syntax are used for a search:
Use "+" or "-" to include or excluding a word, and use asterisk (*) at
the end of a keyword to get multiple forms of the word.
Example: if you use "commerce*" as a keyword, the search engine will not
only search for sites with the word "commerce", but also "commercial",
"commercialize", "commercialism", etc.
If you use "internet + electronic - virtual commerce" as a key word,
the search engine will provide sites with "internet" and "electronic"
commerce, but will ignore sites containing the word "virtual".
Please read the search instruction or help of the search engine you are
using. This kind of instruction or help can be found somewhere around the
text field of the search enging.
